FX is firing one of its best shots as it expands its original programming to Mondays in January. The third season of Damages, starring Glenn Close, will debut on Jan. 25 at 10 p.m. Series regulars Rose Byrne, Tate Donovan and Ted Danson also will reprise their roles. Joining the regular cast will be Martin Short and Campbell Scott.

Lily Tomlin, Keith Carradine and Len Carion will show up in guest roles during the 13-episode season.

The countdown to the end of Nip/Tuck, which should have ended a couple of seasons ago, begins Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 10 p.m. with the first of the final nine episodes. The finale, which will be the 100th episode, is scheduled for March 3.

FX is also pushing into Thursday with a new animated comedy, Archer, set to premiere on Jan. 14 at 10 p.m. A couple of new series will premiere in the spring at dates to be announced. Timothy Olyphant stars as a U.S. Marshall in the drama Justified and comedian Louis C.K. plays a version of himself in the sitcom Louie.
