How exactly?  Well, that will have to wait till next week. And next week is a big episode for "Desperate Housewives."  Producer Marc Cherry has promised that a character will die in Sunday's fall finale.  There will also be a massive plane crash that hits Wisteria Lane hard.

Could Katherine be the one "housewife" who leaves the show in a body bag?  It's not clear, but the series does appear to have been spinning its wheels regarding Mayfair's storyline as of late.  An integral component to the show's plot just two seasons ago, Katherine was reduced to the "other girl" last season before going all Terri Schuester crazy in season six.

Other TV programs: The Best New Shows of the Fall TV Season...So Far (Videos) Still, there are a lot of possibilities as to who might bite the dust.  Could it be Angie's son Danny, who attempted suicide himself?  Could it be Nick or even Angie herself, who admitted in Sunday's episode that she had killed a man?

A dark horse for being six feet under might just be Orson, as Kyle MacLachlan's character could be written off as Bree attempts to pursue a real relationship with Susan's ex-husband Carl.
